Open Volunteer Positions

There are many active roles within CDAAC. Our volunteers are essential to the continued growth of our organization. We are always looking for passionate, motivated and committed CDAs to join our team.

The CDAAC Volunteer Coordinator will play a crucial role in overseeing volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and engagement at CDAAC. This member will manage the volunteer process, from the initial interview to exit, to ensure a smooth and meaningful experience for all CDAAC volunteers. The coordinator will also contribute to ongoing communication, social media promotion, and feedback collection to continuously improve volunteer satisfaction and retention.

The Volunteer Coordinator will:

  • Field all correspondence with prospective volunteers, including introductory email, offer of position, and welcome package.
  • Schedule and conduct interviews, orientation, and check-ins with prospective volunteers and newer executive members.
  • Update ‘Current Applicants’ spreadsheet regularly and upload relevant documents to Basecamp, as needed.
  • Connect new volunteers with existing executive members and relevant team leads.
  • Support retention and succession planning of volunteers.

The Marketing Coordinator has the opportunity to establish relationships with external stakeholders and enhance CDAAC’s membership offerings by connecting CDAAC members to various discounts and benefits.

The Marketing Coordinator will:

  • Reach out to potential CDAAC partners to propose and coordinate details of the partnership.
  • Maintain sponsor relationships, and communicate with CDAAC partners regularly to update and/or renew affiliation agreements and ensure obligations of the agreement are fulfilled.
  • Connect with CDAAC partners to organize and host sponsored virtual events.
  • Collaborate with the Conference Committee to coordinate donations and giveaways for the annual spring conference.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Coordinator to create and share marketing content to social media accounts (such as CDAAC member discounts, and upcoming CDAAC-affiliated events).
  • Update CDAAC’s website as needed to include annual discount details for our membership.
  • Orientation to Basecamp and Canva will be provided.

Directors operate within a Board of Directors, working closely with the Treasurer and President. Directors have the opportunity to develop CDAAC’s goals and plan for the organization’s future, with a real ability to enact positive changes while continuing to support CDAAC’s mission and mandate.

The Board of Directors meets quarterly to review the annual budget, approve financial reports, and to discuss goals. Directors also attend monthly executive meetings to approve the minutes and agenda and to actively contribute to discussions. A probationary period will be in effect and must be completed prior to Directors obtaining voting and signing privileges. During this probationary period, any required training and orientation will be provided by the existing board members.
