Populations: Medical SLP, primarily adult: ABI, Stroke, Aphasia, Dysarthria, Voice, AAC, Social Communication, Executive Functioning, Cognitive Communication. Some pediatric school age (ADHD, ABI, Executive Functioning)

Setting: Buttle SLP does not have a physical clinic space – clients are seen virtually or in-home. Clinical support work can be done remotely / WFH

Job Type: Hourly employee – Full Time, 30-37.5 hours/week.

Buttle SLP is looking for a positive, detail-oriented CDA/SLPA to become a part of our tight-knit team! This position will be a mix of direct client therapy and clinical support. Clinical support includes completing clinical intake for new clients / scheduling, creating therapy materials, developing education materials / blogs / social media, etc. As we have a full-time clinic administrator, this support role will be centred on client support rather than billing/admin/clerical support.

Duties and responsibilities:
Clinical:

  • Implement therapy sessions under SLP direction for variety of medical SLP needs: stroke, dysarthria, aphasia, executive functioning, cognitive communication, etc.
  • Support with client inquiries, including intake calls, screening, scheduling
  • Prepare therapeutic materials and resources for clients and families
  • Collaborate with SLPs and other team members to support community-based rehab goals

Clinical / Team Support:

  • Support with clinical administration – completion of consent / intake forms
  • Develop and create education materials such as blog posts, social media, etc.
  • Support Management team with development of internal documents (e.g. templates, developing internal tech tutorials for team, documenting processes)
  • Assisting clinical director and team with clinical admin support as needed

What we are looking for:

  • Exceptional client support, phone, and email communication skills
  • Prior experience within a clinical environment is an asset
  • A people person who can also work independently and take initiative
  • Organized, able to work in fast-paced environment
  • Familiar with / adaptable to new technology
  • Ability to closely adhere to established policies and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Jane Practice Management, Project management software, automation tools are strong assets.
